Cowboys Coverage 2023: New Place, Same Face
Welcome to my Dallas Cowboys coverage for the 2023-24 season.
In the words of 5-11, 5-11 and 5-11 head coach Dave Campo, “Let’s have some football!”
Last year I covered the Cowboys for Gallery.com, but in the offseason the site went belly up. That’s what happens when the owner, a furniture mogul, and his son, a marketer for dad, think they know more about running a sports web site, than the people they hire to run it. So, here we are today. I have the same access. The same want to. So, why not keep going. That’s what’s great about how info is delivered and consumed these days.
So, I’m here to provide the same level of coverage, just from a different web address. I am doing it on my own dime, which with what I got paid last year at the above-mentioned failed web site, it is pretty much a wash. This season, I’m completely in charge of this space. There will be no punches pulled. I call it like I see it. It’s going to be old school sports journalism delivered with the speed of the internet.
What you can expect on game day, for those that are new here, is a set of quick observations just minutes after the game ends. Then, a quick analysis of the game the morning after. Every week there will be a game preview, a notebook and a few different other types of stories and listicles along the way. You will know what head coach Mike McCarthy has to say, as well as offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer, defensive coordinator Dan Quinn and special teams coordinator John Fassel, and of course the players.
What you won’t get is much from owner Jerry Jones, Stephen Jones, or anybody in the Jones family. No matter what you ask them, they are going to give you an answer that probably has nothing to do with the question asked. I’m not here for that nonsense.
So, let’s focus on the football. Here is to a good 2023 season, with plenty to talk/write about.
I appreciate your clicks.

Cowboys Caught in Desert Mirage
The Cowboys expected to cruise through Arizona and pick up win No. 3 on the season, but the Cardinals had other ideas. Dallas wasn’t sharp from the opening kickoff, making mental and physical errors on its way to the first loss of the season.

A second-round pick and a couple of undrafted rookies are making the most impact through the first two games of the 2023 season for the Cowboys. Here’s an update on them all.
DT Odighizuwa Gives Cowboys Run Stuffer
When the Cowboys drafted Osa Odghizuwa in 2021, they hoped they were getting a middle-of-the-defensive-line run stuffer. Now into his third season, he is living up to those expectations.
